tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27, 1976) is a former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is considered one of the most significant tight ends in the world. He holds the NFL's record in receiving yards as well as receptions as a tight-end. Furthermore, he ranks third in total receptions. Gonzalez's first 12 years were associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he was drafted as the 1st pick. During his last five seasons being with the Falcons, he was a part of the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez has retired in 2013 but has been an analyst for football at NFL on Prime Video. He was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez was recognized for his durability and ability to avoid fumbling. He appeared in 272 of 270 regular-season games and he only made two fumbles in 1,327 total touches. In 2019 Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
